Not happy at all, really feel for the residents on local roads especially Selly Oak Road, Beamount Road & Maryvale Road where there is much more traffic. If we are focusing on safety for children, where are the restrictions to safeguard children on busy Selly Oak Road? Where there are two schools and one crossing near one school and nothing near the other school. Franklin Road Closure only really benefits a small number of residents, not really considering what is best for the wider community.

It’s a disgrace for any democracy that under the misuse of an emergency COVID scheme local people and schools weren’t involved in any sort of consultation for such a misuse of tax payers money. These planter must go!

Bad move. About a dozen properties on the closed Oak Tree Lane, but hundreds of school children and parents every day negatively impacted.

Are the local MPs in support of this, or do they even live on this road? Motorists have paid tax to use the roads! How does this have anything yo do with COVID other then the classical misuse of emergency powers to create something without consultation with the public or local schools? This has a very strong negative reaction by everyone I have spoken to. Why is there no support to remove this? Where are the local MPs?
