More details will be shared later this year and there will be further public consultation on any future changes.
Last year we introduced a number of temporary ‘pop-up’ cycle routes across the city to provide safer space for cycling. One of these was on the A47 corridor between the city centre and Fort Dunlop.
This new route will link key employment sites at Bromford, Fort Dunlop and Castle Bromwich to a large residential area along the Chester Road (Castle Vale, Tyburn and Erdington) and Eachelhurst Road (Walmley).
We want to hear from you on how this new cycle link should be developed and designed.
What is it currently like to cycle in this area?
Are there any particular issues that need to be addressed?
What things could be done to make it safer and easier to cycle here?
You can add as many comments as you like, until Friday 16 April 2021.
The next set of proposals will be informed by your comments and suggestions and then, following public consultation, further changes will be delivered over the coming year.
